The Lunar State

  • Sovereign and independent since the Lunar War (2278-2279). Not a UEF member nation.
  • Treaty relationship with the UEF governs trade, mutual defense, and jurisdictional boundaries.
  • Population: Single-digit billions across multiple metropolitan areas.
  • Government: Lunar Council — democratic, with stronger civilian control than the UEF.
  • Regulatory framework: Stricter than the UEF in many areas, particularly corporate oversight.

Campaign Relevance

Luna is where Mycroft lives, where UMS is headquartered, and where the Sagan launched from. The crew's discoveries will eventually reach the Lunar Council, and Luna's response — as an independent power with its own interests — will matter.
